Advancing the Integration of Patient Preference Data in HTA
Thursday 17 July, 1pm

We are delighted to welcome Dr Simon Fifer (Director: Research and Innovations, CaPPRe) to present our next ISPOR NZ webinar: Advancing the Integration of Patient Preference Data in HTA.
The webinar will be held via Zoom at 1pm on Thursday 17 July. To register, please complete the form on this page.
Overview
Incorporating patient preference (PP) data into HTA as real-world evidence can help make decision-making more informed and accountable to the people directly impacted by these decisions. Distinct from patient input, PP data could offer an approach to quantifying the value of new health technologies from a patient perspective. PP data can also reflect non-health benefits of treatments that may not be captured in traditional metrics used to calculate quality adjusted life years.
Despite the opportunity to enhance decision-making, PP data are not routinely incorporated in the deliberative process. An international working group of public and private preference researchers, industry representatives, members of HTA bodies and patient partners have undertaken research to explore current use of PP data in HTA and how it can be incorporated on a wider scale moving forward.
