ISPOR (NZ) 2020 webinar series

Updated: Jun 14, 2021

While we cannot have our regular face-to-face meetings under the current Covid-19 lockdown, we are arranging an exciting programme of webinars and talks by a range of speakers from around New Zealand and the world. All webinars are free for ISPOR NZ members.

See here for the latest webinar annoucements and registration.

We were very pleased to have Prof Peter Neumann, Director of the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR) at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts Medical Center, to present our first series webinar, on his work as co-chair of the 2nd Panel on Cost-Effectiveness in Health and Medicine. This event was very well attended and provided a fascinating glimpse into the working of the Panel and how they made their recommendations for conducting cost-effectiveness analyses. An engaging webinar discussion also gave attendees the opportunity to explore how the Panel recommendations might shape their own work on cost-effectiveness in the health care sector.

For our second webinar in the 2020 series, Prof Nancy Devlin, President of ISPOR international and the Director of the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Melbourne, presented on challenges in the measurement and valuation of QALYs in children. This was a fascinating talk and discussion on an important and challenging area of research from one of the world leaders in the field.
