Webinar on 8 September: “An introduction to model validation”

Our next webinar will be held on 8 September: “An introduction to model validation”. We are very fortunate to have Professor Jon Karnon as the presenter. Jon is a professor of health economics at the University of Adelaide and President of the Health Services Research Association of Australia and New Zealand. His contribution to the field of cost-effectiveness modelling includes papers comparing alternative decision modelling techniques (including a textbook on discrete event simulation for HTA), development of novel methods for model calibration, and reviews of methods for evaluating screening programs, priority setting, model performance evaluation and the value of reference models. His methodological work around modelling techniques and model calibration is internationally recognised, being cited in modelling good practice guidelines.

Places will be limited to allow meaningful discussion. The webinar is free to members and $25 for non-members. Reserve your place early by contacting ispornewzealand@gmail.com .
